I just want to see your point of view. My daughters if they wear one peices it shows everything , but I don’t like bikinis. So just please state your opion I am very interested to see where you stand.
Their twins and will be 13 next summer. We have pool parties alot that’s why this is so important.

I think they should be the only ones to choose what they wear.
My daughter is not allowed to wear a bikini in public. She can wear a two piece (tankini type thing) or a one piece! Just our rules
)
You didn’t state their ages. There’s a world of difference between a 13 year old and a 16 year old. Even though there are just three years….. whew!!! I know!!!
if you chose for them, they’ll think your preventing them from having fun! You’ll regret it big time! Bikinis aren’t so bad because I am almost 12 and wear one since I was 10! My cousins who are 3 wear bikinis. It’s nothing bad! Just older teens try to make themselves have a sexier image but don’t worry bout your daughter!
as long as it fits right and it’s not to revealing it should be fine.
My 8 year old is allowed to wear a bikini or tankini. I’m sure I won’t like it so much when she fills it out and the boys start paying attention though..
well how old are they??? My daughter is 6 and she wears one.
it REALLY depends on the age and where they are planning on wearing it to. If there will be no adult supervision adn a BUNCH of boys her age that you don’t know very well, I wouldn’t allow it, but if you think it’s a safe environment, then concider the circumstances and maybe decide together
You didn’t give your daughters age, but if she’s 12/13 tankini or one piece would be better. 15/16 I think a bikini would be ok.
I think girls or young ladies should wear one pieces until they are AT LEAST 16. There are just too many weirdos and pedophiles out there looking at these girls as if they are women. Why put the icing on the cake for them? These girls don’t even have to be developed for these men to look at or be attracted to them. Parents need to watch how they are having their children represent themselves. They are children NOT SMALL ADULTS.
Some tankinis are not so bad but I still haven’t given in and bought one. My girls (9 and 11) are still in 1 pieces!
It depends on her maturity level. Right now my daughter is 9 and she has a bikini. If when she gets older I do not feel that she is wearing a bikini only for the purpose of swimming and tanning- it will be time to make a change. If she is being nasty about the bikini or one piece for that matter- she will wear a shirt over them. I am raising a young lady- not a hooker. And yes, I know I will run into some of this and may change my mind on some issues, I just hope I can be wise and understanding. Good Luck
listen…you stand now were in that section. I’m 4 teen so i kno how she feels. Let me tell you this…..we have our freedom to do whater we want to do. But there are a few bounders.
1 can not show all that . that be popin’ up all in you chest
2 get sum real botoms that will cover everything
3 make sure you can count on the swiming bra….cuz dat will be bad.
so i think i hav made my point
Well since they probably shop in the juniors section of department stores for their everyday clothes I would probably let them purchase a bathing suit from the same department. There is a big difference between a bikini purchased from the Macy’s Junior’s department than a bikini from the Victoria’s Secret catalog. I don’t have a problem with the bikini or tankini.
I allow my daughter to wear tankini’s and bikini’s. She is almost 7. I do think that tankini’s are adorable…especially with the short type bottoms.
I do not allow my daughter to wear a bikini. She is 8 now and is really bugging me about this rule, but I am sticking to guns like white on rice. My husband and I are like the U.S. government: We do not negotiate with terrorists (yes, children can turn into terrorist when they begin to terrorize you with whining and attittudes) There is no reason for her to wear a bikini. We allow her to wear a tankini, and the minute she decides that she does not like that, she can go back to one piece. There is no choice here.
i think its fine im 13 and i wear bikinis. and btw ppl she does state their age it says the almost 13!!!
Honestly I think that one piece and 2 piece bathing suits can both be just as revealing. It depends on your daughters size also. The only problem I have with 2 piece is if the purpose of the suit is to be ****. You can find nice ones. I have one daughter that’s more comfortable in a one piece, shes 13 and one that likes 2 piece, shes 16. Its not their ages that is the deciding factor its what they look good in and how they are comfortable. But of course if I thought they didnt look nice I wouldnt let them have them and I would explain why to them.
I despise bikinis for children, personally. But mine is nowhere near 13 yet. I tried very hard to find good one-pieces for my daughter, but discovered two things very quickly (the hard way):
1. Kids under 6 can’t *** for nothin’ with a wet one-piece on.
2. My daughter has such a long torso that most one-pieces give her wedgies and don’t come high enough on the chest.
So I’ve compromised by finding ‘long’ tankinis – ones that are long enough to go to the bikini bottom. This makes it easier for her to go potty, easier to find suits that fit properly, and I’m satisfied that she’s not running around the beach/pool like a little hoochie.
I would be sticking to one pieces. I am totally against kids in bikini’s. If a tankini is what I think it is, though I have never heard it called that, my daughter (8) wears one. Is that the two piece where the top is so long it comes down to near the bottoms? My daughter wears this for lessons as it is straight after school so she wears her bathers to school. this allows her to go to the toilet. They don’t show off much so I allow these
Well in my religion which is Islam we place a very strict purpose on covering ourselves especially for women. God commanded women in the Qur’an to cover everything except the eyes and if a woman was to walk around like a $lut(in a bathing suit, bikini, or tankini) she would be showing skin and would attract unwanted attention by boys and might be ***** or killed. In Islam we value a woman’s beauty so much that we only show it to our fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers. We respect modesty and God commanded both men and women to dress modestly so as not to appear like *** objects. So no my daughters won’t be going walking around ***** on a beach or at a pool.
let them wear a bikini, tankini or one piece. which ever they want. You cant tell them what to do for ever. And we know there are so many pervs out there who like looking at babies, young girls and boys. You cant stop pervs from thinking that but you can stop them from there actions. All you need to do is relax and calm down. i dont see the problem with a bikini. people need to stop think its nasty or gross. a human body isnt to be shammed of. even for a 13 year old girl. its how the girl wears it. if shes walking around like shes 20 then there’s a problem. but if shes a normal young teen who is just there to have fun with other kids and is not worried about how she looks in it, then there is no problem. my kids who are 3 and 1 have worn bikinis from Gymboree and they look cute! i persoanly think One pieces are so ugly.
well im 14 and have worn a bikini since i was a baby! now i am a size 0, so that could make a difference. if i was big no i wouldnt becuase i would not want people to see my tummy, but i think they will be fine.
