Using Your Sunglasses To Look In-Style This Summer | Fashions Bimbo

Sunglasses (and glasses of all types) are becoming more and more an essential fashion accessory, as they can portray a huge amout about you as a person.

Also, UK fashion appears to be heavily focused on matching accessories and colour this season. One particular colour trend would be vintage, or anything that can be described as, or made to look vintage.

With that in mind, here are some top tips to making sure your sunglasses fit your outfit, and look on trend for the summer months.

Matching Accessories:

Try and match your sunglasses to your other accessories (your shoes, bag, etc) in a way that complements the colour of your main outfit; get some good designer sunglasses. If you need to be top of the fashion charts (and you’re not short of a quid or two), grab yourself a matching pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and sunglasses; it won’t be cheap but will guarantee you’re looking mega stylish over the coming months.

Go for vintage sunglasses:

Vintage really is the way to go this year and if you can get yourself some vintage sunglasses to match a vintage outfit you’ll be well on your way to looking in-style this summer. Try the cat’s-eye sunglasses for a particularly current example; quickly coming back into vogue again, the retro-inspired look you get from these kind of sunglasses are band on trend and are particularly flattering on women, as they emphasise the cheekbones.

Rectangular frames:
Go for the rectangular frame look this season, with more of the vertical shape than horizontal; another retro-inspired in-style look this season. Good examples of celebrities following this trend in 2010 include uber-famous musician Justin Timberlake, and US actress Alyssa Milano.

Get some aviators:
Aviator sunglasses are bang in style this summer, along with beautifully designed Ray Ban Wayfarer which will be a definite favourite for summer 2010 – look out for the oversized versions by Ray Ban for a particularly cool example.
