In our society today, people often turn to celebrities to model their lives after. People follow the events and media coverage of their favorite stars. More often than not a true fan will know more about their favorite celebrities likes and dislikes than members of their own family.

Designers knowing this fact will seek out a celebrity and create a unique product for that celebrity to endorse. If a celebrity is seen wearing the item from a certain designer and looking fabulous, the designer knows that the fans will soon want to have a pair just the same.
