How do you clean a bathing suit in the washer?

I’ve had the bathing suit for a while and I cut off the tags when I got it so I could have just used that. It’s not any special fabric or anything. Just your basic bathing suit. How do I wash it? And would you suggest I put it in the dryer or let it air dry?Thanks!
