Cause a lot of times they look very similar. Is there even a specific gender they make them for?

Men's sunglasses usually have a label that says men

manufacturers would have us believe there is a difference..but possibly not.

no special gender just sunglasses are sunglasses they usually have a sign above them saying kids women and men sunglasses they got different categories

i guess there usally is a tag and sometimes there is a certain fit to it. but i wear mens shades soo..

um… mens glasses are longer around the eyes and womens glasses are really big around the eyes

p.s.
if they're pink they're probably girl sunglasses (unless ur gay)
if the have flames… they're probably boy glasses (unless ur a tom boy girl)

oh yes they will be in fashion! they are more of a style item than a fashion item henceforth they will never go out of fashion. this is because they are a more versatile shape than round or small ones and will look good on a wider range of face shapes

Well you could call them vintage if you like. I wanted to get some last year but apparently I have small features on my face and the smaller ones look better. I still like the big ones though and I hope they are still selling them so I can get some this year.

I'm not sure, I'm just gunna wait and see what ppl wear b4 I decide

Yes, but if you want to be different wear what you like. I think the whole huge sunglasses thing is just from people following the styles celebrities are wearing. they do this of course to hide from paparazzi. If you want to still show off your pretty face go with lenses a few sz.s smaller.

God, I hope not! That's one of the worst fashion trends I've seen in years. Do people not realize just how unattractive they are?

I put them in the same category as over-sized clothes – get stuff that fits!!!

I'm picking out new glasses Monday, and I'm considering a pair of "Sarah Palin-esque" rimless glasses. I have a heavy prescription, even when I buy the lightweight lenses. I thought I would like the look AND feel. The problem is that I hear these frames are not stable at all.

I have to wear my glasses if I get up to go to the bathroom at night. I can't have a heavy frame, but I can't have something falling apart, either!

By the way, I have an astigmatism and this go 'round, I may have to get bifocals too. I'll opt for the no-line ones if that's the case because I'm only 27 years old! I don't know if this will affect anything, but I thought I'd throw it out there if it would. I can't get aviator sunglasses because of the astigmatism.

P.S. I'm shopping at Lens Crafters, if that helps.

I bought rimless glasses a couple of years ago but they were not reliable at all. The holes in the lens broke so the frames couldn't hold it. Make sure the rim around the nose part and the edge is strong enough to hold the lens properly. Mine just looked like a wire. I left them lying around a lot so its probably my fault for not taking care of them properly. Take good care of them and you should be fine.

rimless glasses can break very easily..especially since u hav heavy prescription its not advisable to have them.if u wish u can keep two pairs one for use at home(rough use) n the other 4 goin out or sumthing lyk thhat

They will probably break more easily than regular glasses. I wear glasses too, and I think that regular glasses with cute frames look better and are harder to break. If you are going to be trying to find them in the dark to go to the bathroom at night, I would definitely get regular glasses. Lens Crafters has some really cute frames, that is where I always go. Happy Thanksgiving!

I've had rimless glasses for a few months now . I recommend that you get them if you are going to wear them all the time like me. Good quality ones will last longer
