A Lot People Do Not Return Lost Items

A lot of people it would seem would not take lost property that they have found into a police station but keep it fopr themself and not let anyone know what they have found. Why is this? The real question to ask here is are there more criminals out there or do people just not realise that this is stealing?
Sometimes I can understand why people tend to keep the money that they find and pick up as everyone is in need of a bit of extra cash no matter how little it is it is actually a crime to steal? There are many people out there that feel that if you spot a bit of cash on the floor that you should keep it, well this is the wrong thing to do?

This could really work unless of course it ends up being a lot of money. This is when you need to take it to the police station right away rather than keep it for yourself. If it is a large sum of money then think about this, what if it is for a big family of four who may need the money you have found for the month. People should really think about this. Think about it this way, would you care about getting £10 back if you lost it, not likely. What about £200? If you think this could be a yes, take the money in.

Jewellery is something entirely different and should be taken to be handed in straight way and there is a major reason for this and it is that jewellery can be very precious to people indeed as jewellery could have been handed down for years, could be a wedding ring or even a gift from a late relative but it doesn’t matter if it is amethyst jewellery, amber jewellery or even moonstone jewellery you should always return it.

Of course for the cash, that is up to you.
